We draw on our professional oaths and values to inform our actions to end the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the siege on Gaza, as these are known root causes of health inequity and human rights violations.
In the short-term, we demand an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and for unimpeded humanitarian aid to be allowed to enter the besieged territory by any and all means. Long-term, as health workers, we focus on health and human rights in Palestine as our lens through which to support Palestinian liberation.
As Healthcare Workers united against Medical Apartheid, we demand and are committed to:
A permanent ceasefire and entry of all required humanitarian aid into Gaza.
An end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the siege on Gaza.
An end to U.S. military funding to Israel.
Non-violence in our actions.
Strongly condemning attacks on vulnerable locations such as health facilities, ambulances, schools, shelters providing housing for displaced families, journalists and religious institutions. Such attacks are war crimes under the Geneva Conventions.
Strongly condemning Israeli-imposed restrictions on vital humanitarian aid such as food, water, medications, medical supplies and fuel. This constitutes collective punishment, which is a war crime.

Mobilizing healthcare workers to attend Palestinian and Jewish-led actions in support of a ceasefire, organizing vigils and rallies to put pressure on our local healthcare systems and increase public awareness of the health consequences of this genocide, and writing and gaining signatures on letters to our local healthcare systems and congressional delegates asking them to publicly support a ceasefire. We plan to do so much more. Will you join us?
